{Family Photos}

We recently had our family photos taken by Darcy Patterson. I always find it a little stressful finding the coordinating clothes, trying to have everyone look their best, & encouraging "best smiles" during the actual photo shoot. Kenny and Drew both HATE taking pictures, so that makes it even more difficult. Lucky for us, Darcy is super talented and knows how to deal with our family!

Kenny + I = 10 years Happily Married
&
Our Greatest Blessings:
Drew age 8

Ian age 7

Owen age 4

Mya age 2

"The Best Place To Be Is TOGETHER"

I was so pleased with how the photos turned out. I love them and will always cherish them. Thanks Darcy for capturing my family in our lives right now. I wish I could keep my kids this age forever!

{Scissors}

Unfortunately, Mya has learned how to use scissors and decided to cut up Drew's homework. I am relieved she didn't try to cut her hair!

Where was I you ask? Reading Face Book.....I really should not be looking at it while my kids are awake, total distraction!

{Henna}

I have a friend that I met here in Cali., who is from India. She and I really get along great & always have fun. We set up a play date for our kids & while they were over, she painted a henna design on my hands! It was really cold, but lots of fun!

I am grateful for Rezwana's friendship and love listening to her stories!

{Angry Birds Party}

Ian requested to have an Angry Birds birthday party and the minute he asked the ideas started forming! I love to throw a party & I knew there were tons of cute ideas out in the cyber world to help. Of course I couldn't have done it without my party planner extraordinaire, Darcy Patterson, who is ever so talented, helping me out!
The boys received for Christmas from Auntie Carmin stuffed angry birds, which added a lot of pizazz to the head table.
I Love my cupcake holder, so I use it for all birthday parties. Cupcakes are so easy and perfect for little hands!
In the Angry Birds game, the pigs steal the birds eggs. Luckily they didn't get a hold of these ones! The kids took home eggs filled with candy.
We received a volleyball net for Christmas from Ge and Grandad, which the boys have been playing with constantly. Ian's second request for his party was to play volleyball. So our first activity was to play volleyball, Angry Birds style! The kids had a blast "Flying" the birds across the net.

Mese & Ian both got an awesome hit!
Unfortunately, our blue bird bit the dust by the end of the party!

The kids had a blast creating their own Life Size Angry Bird game!

They especially loved knocking it down and killing the pigs!

Noah is Ian's school friend. Noah had a blast! (written by Ian)
Next the kids used a sling shot to knock over the pigs.

The last game of the day, was Angry Birds Darts!

All the balloons were filled with candy! Yes, more sugar!

Kenny served snow cones, happily!
The kids devoured nachos & snow cones!
And last, but not least Ian blew out his candles and wished for $100!

Ian is blessed to have so many friends that came to help him celebrate his birthday. Thank you to all those who attended and for the gifts. He told me his party was a blast and that he wished it could have lasted 30 hours! I am glad he enjoyed his special day and hope he always knows how much he means to me! I love you Ian ~Mom

{Happy Happy Birthday}

Today Ian turned 7 years old! He is growing up way too fast and he swears he will be as tall as I am by the time he turns ten. Ian is my most animated child and always keeps Kenny and I on our toes! He is full of personality and can be very sweet. This morning we opened family presents before breakfast. The boys had their good friend Mese spend the night, so it was fun to have him their to celebrate with us too!

Ian's favorite team...his dad brainwashes him!
Ian is obsessed with Angry Birds! He received this, so he would have something to wear to his party! More about that to come....
This was his favorite gift, a hoodie from Old Navy. The sunglasses on the skull light up. He picked it out himself online when he was composing his Christmas list. I am NOT in love with it and was hoping he would forget about it, but unfortunately he didn't, & said when he didn't receive it for Christmas, "I must be getting it for my birthday." Kenny convinced me just to get it. Note to self...don't let kids look at clothes online!

Things that make Ian, Ian right now!

~ What he loves more than anything, is to be outside in the culd-e-sac playing guns with the neighbor boys Tristan & Logan.

~ He does very well in school, but did receive a detention for talking too much to his friends. He is very social and his teacher told me that everyone is always wanting to know what Ian is doing or saying. He is a leader, we just need to make sure he leads in a positive direction!

~His favorite tv show is 'The Avengers.'

~He is obsessed with Angry Birds.

~He still likes to dress up as a Super Hero's. Favorites right now are Captain America and Thor.

~His favorite colors are blue and red.

~He wants to be a Vet. He loves to go and watch Kenny do surgeries, the bloodier the better!

~His favorite season is winter because he gets to celebrate Christmas and his birthday.

~ His loves to eat rainbow sherbet and pepperoni pizza.

~His top 5 presents for his birthday: Skull Hoodie, Star Wars Clone Gun, Walkie Talkies, Captain America Combat Vehicle, & Angry Bird game.

~ Soccer and Basketball are his favorite sports to play.

~ His birthday wish for this year is $100.00!

I love you Ian so much and am so grateful for such a 'spirited' child! You make me laugh everyday & pull my hair out, but I wouldn't want it any other way. My prayer for you is for you to be happy, healthy, and to make good choices! Your dad & I think you are pretty spectacular! Enjoy being 7! xoxo ~Mom
