Hoppy 1st Birthday Owen!

Owen will be turning 1 on June 29th, so we threw him a frog party with the help of lots of good friends. I know Owen had a great time. Here are some of our favorite shots from the party. Huge thanks to Darcy for all the wonderful pictures.

His favorite part of the whole party was having the "Happy Birthday" song sung to him and eating cake.

Best Buddies! Ryder Harris, Orin Patterson, Owen, & Mason Ugapo

Having fun in the sun!

Owen loved all the presents. Thanks again to our wonderful friends for being so kind!

Ian's favorite part was eating all the sweets!

Drew & Ian thought the slip-n-slide was a blast!

Drew ate several plates of nachos!

Thanks again to all of our friends for helping us celebrate Owen's 1st Birthday!

To Cook or NOT to Cook......

With it being so hot lately I have had no desire to cook. Not only is the desire not there, but I am bored making the same recipes over and over again. I would be fine eating watermelon all summer, however I feel like my little men should eat better. We have done the chicken nuggets, pizza, and PB&J sandwiches way too often, so last night I felt like I should make something a little more healthy for the boys. Kenny went in on an emergency right when I was contemplating what to make, so he wasn't even going to be there to eat. All the more reason not to slave away on a homemade meal. The boys are fine eating anything, but I decided I must make something other than our regular "fast foods." I decided on lasagna for Drew and Ian and ravioli for Owen. I whipped up the food quickly and the boys devoured their yummy nutritious meals. I felt much satisfaction in the dinner I prepared, I couldn't have done it without those Weight Watchers frozen meals in the freezer! If anyone has some yummy, quick, & kid friendly recipes please send them my way.

We Love You!

Happy Father's Day Kenny! I asked the boys what they like to do best with daddy and these were their responses: Drew said, "I like to read with dad." Ian said, "I like to play toys and drive with him." (Kenny let's Ian sit on his lap and steer the wheel as they drive around our neighborhood.) Owen's face lights up the minute Kenny walks in the door from work and says, "DA DA." He also loves when daddy shares his Popsicle with him! I love how wonderful of a father you are to our little boys. You are so involved in their lives and definitely give them the attention they all so desire. I love our nightly family walks and bike rides up to the bus park where we play a round of tag until it gets dark. We all love you and appreciate the amazing father that you are. Thank you for all that you do.

He Touched IT!!!

I am excited to post my first blog. I love to read all my friend's and family's blogs, so I thought it was time to start one for our family. As I sit down to blog, both Drew and Ian are supposed to be laying down for naps, however I hear them each in different bathrooms yelling back and forth to one another that they are going yucky. I then hear Drew giggling as he yells, "Owen's touching my poo!" To my amazement my 11 month old has escaped the computer room and is in playing in the toilet behind Drew! So this is my life: mother to 3 very active boys. They definitely keep me on my toes, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I hope by blogging that they will read these someday and appreciate all that I do for them!
