Another basketball season has come and gone. Drew and Ian both played on great teams and helped lead their teams to several victories!
Ian was rewarded at the end of every game with a pack of gum for getting the most rebounds on his team! Easy to do when you tower over the rest of the kids! His height has always been one of his advantages in basketball.
Ian had a great year, since his age still played on the shorter hoops. He dominated a lot of the games.
He would shoot and score!!!
Owen was too young to play in this league, so he had to find other ways to pass the time!
When Drew wasn't playing at the same time, he too was found hanging around the court!
Mya made new friends at every game and made up new games!
Ian had church friends and school friends on his team, so he had a blast playing with people he knew.
I think Ian did an "EXTRA" great job this season and I think he is "EXTRA" Special!
In all of Drew's soccer photos last year he had his tongue out as he played, I guess basketball is no different!
I love watching Drew play basketball because he is so passionate about it. He understands the game and knows the importance of passing the ball and playing as part of a team. He would get so frustrated with kids who took the shot even if it wasn't a good shot because they wouldn't pass the ball. You always knew how Drew felt, whether he was excited or upset, because of his body language. I had people tell me he was the most fun to watch.
He was a great support to his team because he is a hustler and has a pretty good shot.
He was great at defense and stayed right on the opponent, sometimes a little too much! He almost fouled out of one game!
He has good technique and I can't wait to watch him as his basketball skills continue to improve over the years. I am so proud of him and think he is AWESOME!!!!
It was fun to have grandma and grandpa come out to support the boys!
Mya will always be Drew and Ian's cheerleader!
