We just suffered our first broken bone. With four very active kids, ages 7 and under, we're happy we made it this long! Owen was trying to keep Ian from coming in Mya's room and pushing with all his might to shut the door. Ian is twice Owen's size and pushed a lot harder, resulting in Owen being pinned up against the wall and door. Owen started crying hysterically and told me that his arm hurt. I yelled at both boys for messing around and gave Owen's arm kisses. We went on with our nightly routine and he didn't use his arm much, but was still running around tormenting his older brothers. It wasn't until a couple of nights later, when Owen fell off his bike and started screaming again about his arm, that Kenny decided to take him to the clinic for x-rays.

Kenny took a look and decided he better send it off to his good friend Dan, who just happens to be an orthopedic surgeon. Lucky us to have connections! Dan informed us that Owen had a buckle fracture and told us that it would be best to have it casted for 3 weeks.
The next day, my favorite doctor put a cast on Owen!
Owen thinks the cast is pretty cool and has had fun having his friends sign it. We told him he needed to be carful not to hit anyone with his cast because its very hard and could hurt somebody, his response, "What about Ian?" I told Ian to watch out around Owen because he is seeking revenge!

Sad about the arm, but it's pretty funny that he asked "What about Ian!"
Poor kid! Glad Dan could help. It's amazing we have gone 11 years with not a single broken bone. We keep the ENT doctors in business though!
