1st Haircut

I am terrified of first haircuts, especially after Drew's first experience. He screamed the whole time and the lady stopped after cutting one side of his hair, and said, "I just can't do this, you need to find someone else!" I was horrified. So I was a little apprehensive as I took Mya for her first real hair cut today. I figured I would be holding her on my lap, with a drape covering us both, and holding her head in my hands so that she wouldn't move. The complete opposite scenario took place. She sat up in the chair the whole time and barely moved. She was content to look at herself in the mirror and eat a snack. I couldn't be more pleased with the end result! Mya and Terrie Before....
And After!!! I think she is the most adorable thing in the whole world!

Caught in the Act!

In the amount of time it took me to run up and grab a bow for Mya's hair, she decided to get her own snack, & give mommy a new mess to clean!I grabbed my camera and she automatically said, "Teese!"
Threw the bow in so I could see her stuffing her face!

Then the throwing of the cereal began. I swear the majority of my day is spent cleaning up everybody else's messes!

New Puppies!

Kenny called me and asked if we wanted to watch an emergency Yorkie c-section and the kids and I jumped at the chance. We rushed to the clinic and arrived just as the two puppies were being pulled from their mom's uterus. As Kenny spayed the animal, and after the puppies had been resuscitated, Owen and Mya loved on the puppies. So happy the puppies lived, so we could hold a living puppy! Owen named them Shelby and Cassie, even though they were boy puppies. He kept saying, "No they not, they gills (girls)!"

They were very tiny and looked like little rats! Mya would touch them with her finger and then pull it back very quickly.
I am just so thankful that these puppies belonged to somebody or else my kids would have loved to bring them home with us....NO THANK YOU!!!

Sisterhood!!!

This is a really old picture of my sisters & I, but the first one I pulled out of my album. Today is my oldest sister Holly's 35th birthday!!! I called her this morning to wish her a happy birthday, and my 8 yr old niece Kendra got on the phone and asked me to blog about her birthday! I thought it was a perfect time to let my sisters know just how much they mean to me....
My two older sisters: Carmin, Holly, & myself with some short hair!

I LOVE having sisters! They are the ones i've known forever. Our relationship started with barbies and the Brady Bunch and grew to cheerleading, make-up, and boys! I was the little sis, who followed the both of them around and was always hoping to be just like them when I grew up. Today we all live far away from eachother, but a day never passes without us talking. I call them for honest advice, to laugh or cry or complain to. I love my sisters dearly and am so grateful to have them as my Best Friends! So Happy Birthday Holly! I Love You!!! ~Jo

This is for my niece Kendra! This was the day she was born and I was the proudest Auntie ever to have such an adorable and fun niece! Thanks for making me an Auntie!!!

The BEE Party!

I was so excited to throw Ian a birthday party after we went to a mansion overlooking the city for a work Christmas party. The theatre room inside the mansion inspired me and right when I saw it, I knew this would be a great location for a party.
The kids filled up on popcorn!
The Fun Group!
Enthralled in the "BEE" Movie.

Gotta Love...Cupcakes!

Ian loves guns and I think told everyone because he received 14!!!!
Of course he LOVED it and we have had some nice family battles!

The best gift of all though.....

AUNT CONNIE!!!!
She came to help celebrate and did what the boys love most, she let them wrestle with her.

Happy Birthday Ian!!!

Ian turned 6 years old today! It amazes me how quickly my little boy has grown. He started his morning with presents before leaving for school. He was excited about all his gifts, especially the watch and his Captain Crunch cereal!
He realized quickly that a lot of practice will be needed before he can jump down the street on his pogo stick, so he thought it might be better suited as......
A GUN!
Ian can turn anything into a weapon.
Ian Facts at 6!
He is very social & loves to be with friends all day long.
He initiates conversations with complete strangers.
He has energy, that keeps going...and going...and going...
He scored his first basket in a basketball game.
He thinks his dad is the Best!
He loves going on dates with his mom.
He has no fear and will try anything daring.
He is very protective of his brothers and Mya.
He is always out in the culd-e-sac with the neighbor boys shooting guns.
He likes to clean toilets :)
He talks about tooting a lot.
He doesn't always listen that well, but he is a kind and loving little boy!
I Love you Ian more than you will ever know & I am so grateful to have you as my son. I look forward to this next year. Love, Mom

Holiday Dresses!

One of my favorite things to do this past 2010 was to dress Mya for church every Sunday! I spend more time on her 1 dress and shoes than all the boys combined. She got some pretty adorable dresses from Aunt Carol and Aunt Kim that I will be posting in 2011!

Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!
